Media Consumption

Here are some things I learned after looking at Jayden Fisher’s media consumption mind map. Fisher’s devices that he uses to view media is his phone, his gaming PC, and his television. He mainly uses four media platforms, Discord, Snapchat, YouTube, and Spotify. He has four media sources he most commonly indulges which are Netflix and other streaming services, Steam, Google, and podcast which I believe he uses Spotify for podcasts but that is just an estimate. The only traditional media he consumes is advertisements, magazines, and radio. Although his media consumption is rather basic, I really like his taste, especially Discord. I find discord fascinating; you can connect with people from all over the world via voice call or text. You can even customize your own profile with a status, username, and profile picture! For example, I left an image of Fisher’s Discord account bellow. His Discord profile is a little different, and that’s because he uses Discord Nitro. Discord Nitro is Discords subscription-based service, so he can make is profile more custom it also has a lot of other performance boosting features, but I won’t get into that. Discord is a lot like the words of Kipling, “Would you call a friend from half across the world? If you’ll let us have his name and town and state, you shall see and hear your crackling question hurled Across the arch of heaven while you wait.” (Kipling 13-16).
