The Gum Placer 3000

From step one to eight, we saw three energy transfers, starting with magnetic when the magnetic lamp hit the magnet on the tissue box. Second the mechanical energy with the roll of tape hit the books and they fell over. Last the gravitational energy when the gum ball rolls down the measuring tape.

It begins with Marwa dropping the ball onto the wedge, it rolling to hit the lamp, the lame will then move forward to connect to the magnet that is connected on the tissue box, the tissue box will be pushed over by the force of the lamp, causing to hit the roll of tape, the roll of tape then will hit the 4 books, they will fall in order and it hit tape measure, it move move slightly cause the ball to move down the measuring tape into the gum ball machine.

This week in Math 10…

I am going to show one of the many ways to take out the GCF in a polynomial expression.

When you see your initial expression, you wont to ask what is the biggest number I can take out of all of the numbers? You can take out 5x from all of them… Put it on the side of the box. Then what multiplied by 5x is going to give you the numbers inside… These you put directly over the number in the box. Once found you have all the factors of what is inside the box.
