Fractured Poetry Bk C

Sentence: The weather wasn’t very nice but the view was still wonderful.

Phrase: Water was surprisingly warm.

Words: Beach, family, and trip.

I chose these words because they are the highlights of my vacation. The words and sentences describes the key details about my trip and they help me remember the enjoyable times. I learned that it is important to have words that have hidden or strong meaning when writing a poem so the reader can feel emotion while reading the poem. This exercise taught me about how words can have hidden meaning and emotion to me when describing an event.

Poem:

The weather wasn’t nice

but the beach was bright

so that made it alright.

“to have words that have hidden or strong meaning when writing a poem so the reader can feel emotion while reading the poem. ” But if a word has “hidden” meaning, only relevant to you, then how can a reader understand?
And it needs to be more than just meaning in your words… use imagery, strong verbs and nouns….
