Do you think Joseph Boyden should write stories about the Indigenous people of Canada? Why or why not?

I think it is okay for Joseph Boyden to be writing about indigenous people of Canada if he is getting the story from the Indigenous people or if he himself has an Indigenous background. If not, then I don’t think he should be writing about what they experienced unless it clearly states the story is written by a non indigenous person.
