-World War 1

-Different nations involved : 32 countries were involved. The United States, Russia, Britain, Canada and France were the core Allied Forces and they fought against the Central Powers.

-Memorable/important events : The success at the Battle of Vimy Ridge helped Canada gain national pride and a reputation of being an elite fighting force.

-Outcome of the conflict : The war ends with the Treaty of Versailles.

-Long term impacts : The Treaty of Versailles forced Germany to compensate for the losses the Allies had. These unfair compensations angered the Germans and lead to World War 2 twenty-one years later.

-Memorable/important events : On August 6, the Atomic bomb was dropped in Hiroshima. Japan surrenders to the Allies on August 15.

-Canadian casualties : 45,000.

-Outcome of the conflict : World war 2 ends after Germany and Japan surrenders.

-Long term impacts : The destruction of many European and Asian cities. Division of Germany into two separate states.

 

-Boer War

-Different nations involved : Britian, Afrikaner, Canada, Transvaal.

-Memorable/important events : In October 1899, the South African Repulbic and its ally the Orange Free State declared war on Britian.

-Canadian casualties : 267 people.

-Outcome of the conflict: The Treaty of Vereeniging is signed to end the war in 1902.

-Long term impacts : Britian forces the Transvaal and the Orange Free state to join the British Empire.

 

-Korean War

-Different nations involved : South Korea, North Korea, China, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Turkey, Australia, Greece, Ethiopia, Netherlands, Thailand, Belgium, Philippines.

-Memorable/important events : When North Korea invaded South Korea on June 25, 1950.

-Canadian casualties : 1558 people.

-Outcome of the conflict : Resulted in a stalemate and ceasefire, but they are still technically at war.

-Long term impacts : South Korea and North Korea are still in war and can cause troubles in the future.
