Hemophilia A is a disease that is from a X chromosome that has a mutant copy of the factor VIII gene. Hemophilia A is a blood-clotting disorder that causes increased bleeding if you get injured. Hemophilia is a recessive gene and can be masked if there is another X chromosomes without the mutant copy of the factor VIII gene. This disorder is more common in males because they don’t have a second X chromosome to mask the mutant one. Females have two X chromosomes so they have a second chromosome to mask the other one if it’s mutated. (Not actually a Mendelian genetic).
