Part A- The Reporter’s POV: Hello, I am news reporter Bob. Today I’m here in a peaceful neighbourhood where police are gathering to find a suspect. The man has robbed a huge bank, ran a car into the tree, shot a police, and has been shot. We will wait for further news. We are back and right now the man has collapsed on the floor, he is suffering from three wounds and seems like he is near death. The ambulance has now arrived and is taking the man to the hospital. I am now interviewing this man, what did you see sir? “I saw him jumping over the fence and then falling down suddenly in the parking lot. Well, tune it for next time for more information.
Part B- Media and “A Television Drama”: The point that the story makes is, that Media reports can help people understand what’s going on in the world, but it isn’t always a hundred percent accurate. It can also make people really scared depending on how violent the events were on the news. An example is, when Carolee saw her husband being more frightened than she was, she became scared too because of the incident that happened in her neighbourhood.
