Digital footprint, it’s one of the most important thing people forget about or think it won’t have a big impact in their life. Some of the ways it can affect you is when you’re applying for a job. The people will look at your digital footprint and judge if you’re a good employee. If you posted things that makes yourself look bad, then the people who work there are not gonna accept you because they’ll think you are not gonna give a good impression on them.

Another example is when you are applying for university. The people will look at your social media to see what kind of person you are. If you are a person who swears or does silly and dangerous things, most likely they won’t accept you. It’s improtant to make sure you aren’t posting anything inappropriate or something that will impact you in the future.

You could check your post so you make sure you are not posting anythnig harmful. Also, checking and having good grammar is also a good idea.

You could show your parents or guardian your post to get their opinion if it’s appropriate or not.

You could make yourself look good by posting things that are positive, for example your talents and things you did that helped someone.

These are some things you can do to keep your digital footprint clean, of course there are many other ways, but these examples are the common ones. Also, keeping your digital footprint clean means you are not going to get messed up in the future. It also tells people you’re a cool, nice person.

One thing I learned is that digital footprint is a huge thing. It affects your life a lot. It can make not get a job or not get into a good unviersity. So it’s important to be careful of what you post or you’ll be in big trouble in the future.

I would tell students that you have to have a good digital footprint or it’ll affect you greatly in the future. That when you apply for something for example like a job, the people will look at your social media and see what kind of person you are, if you are the focused and hardworking person, or if you are the one to fool around most often. Also, I would tell them that the things you post on the internet stays forever. I would tell them how to keep their digital footprint appropriate. I would say this slowly and clearly so the students would understand how important it is to keep a appropriate digital footprint.
