Hunger Games Theme Park-District 6

Reflection

The Project

This project was building a theme park based on a specific District. The students in the class were put in groups and had to select one District from the Hunger Games to build a theme park. For this assignment, my group members and I picked District 6.

Some characteristics of District 6

District 6 is known for its transportation industry, as it produces and transports goods such as fuel, trains, and vehicles. The citizens of District 6 are skilled in driving and mechanics, and are often recruited as Peacekeepers for their expertise in handling vehicles. However, the district also struggles with addiction to the drugs that are transported through it, causing many citizens to suffer from substance abuse issues. District 6 has a unique relationship with the Capitol, as it is one of the wealthiest districts due to its transportation industry, but its citizens are not afforded the same luxuries as those in the Capitol.

The software I used to create this assignment

I use Nightcafe, an online platform that provides a wide range of creative tools for artists, designers, and other creative professionals. It offers various digital art tools, including a sketchpad, paintbrushes, and other effects that allow users to create unique digital designs. I find this software particularly useful for creating visuals for our project on District 6. One of the best features of this software is that it allows you to simply describe your image, and it will generate the visuals based on your description, making it easy to bring your ideas to life.

Social responsibility
I was able to complete this project with the help of my group members. My group members and I were able to work together without any problems. The first step we took to complete this assignment was brainstorming ideas. Each member contributed something important to this project. We brainstormed the rides, characters, shows, and food, and explained how they relate to District 6. For the explanation part, we shared the potion in order to speed up the project. Additionally, any other group members can still add their ideas to each other’s potion. Moreover, we didn’t have any problems when working on this project, and we each contributed meaningfully.

HCE 9- English write

For this assignment, I am using the image titled” Trash Turtle ” by Stefan Kraft. I chose the theme collaboration as it accurately represents the artist mind set in cleaning the ocean, but with the help of animals and humans.

In the image, I see a turtle swimming in the ocean with trash inside of it. There are also some sea creatures in the ocean as well. When I saw the  Image I thought of cleanliness. The ocean is one of the places that is being trash mostly. There are sea creatures living in the ocean, when it is trashed it is very dangerous to the creatures living in the ocean as it can led to the depopulation of the sea creatures. I think the author is a lover of nature and he/she is thinking of a way to clean the ocean by being creative and printing the image.  The color used in the image is symbolic as it represent a particular thing. The colors have a particular effect on the viewer as it made the image same real. The image  is on the right angle and it is focused mainly on the turtle with the trash inside of it. There is a symbol used in the image, located on the shell of the turtle. On the image there is a human who is putting trash in the bin, this represents tidiness. This lighting of the picture seem real. In the image there is a particular part that seem real( the ocean) and particular part that seem fake( the turtle with the trash inside). I said that the turtle is fake because, a real turtle can never have trash inside of it, the artist was being imaginative or inventive. The turtle is looking forward as if it is continuing it’s journey. This tells me that the turtle is still in the process if gathering more trash from the ocean. The turtle in the picture seem like it is swimming. It is being controlled by something.

In conclusion, I believe that the artist print this picture to show how the ocean is trashed and his/her dream is to make an invention to reduce the trash in the ocean, in order to reduce the depopulation rate of sea animals.

Indigenous Exploration “Education”

My homework journey “From Frustration to Accomplishment”

This homework was based on First Nation education. My group and I invested considerable time comparing indigenous and non-indigenous education in this assignment, and through this process, I learned a lot of things. we conducted extensive research using various search engines to ensure the success of this assignment. The experience was challenging, but ultimately rewarding, as I gained new knowledge and skills. I title this post My Homework Journey” From Frustration to Accomplishment” as it accurately reflects the range of emotions I experienced while completing this assignment.

Through this assignment, I faced some obstacles that I was able to overcome, and I also learned some important things. some of the obstacles were difficulties with finding appropriate information and understanding complex concepts. On the other hand, some of the things I learned through this assignment include the differences between indigenous and non-indigenous education, how to conduct thorough research using various search engines, and how to effectively communicate and work with the group, even though I am not still perfect. Overall, this assignment provided me with valuable experience and knowledge that I can carry forward into the future.

Before this assignment was given, I knew nothing about First Nation people and how they lived especially their education. However, after conducting research for this project, I now have a greater understanding of First Nation education.

Through the research, I learned that Canada has one of the world’s highest levels of educational obtainment,  yet the graduation rate of Indigenous students remains far lower than that of non-Indigenous students.
