What’s in my junk food?~oreo blizzard

I chose to do my post on oreo blizzards because it is always my go to on the menu. Anytime i visit the dairy queen store this particular food never seems to let me down. I really love the taste because it is the perfect combo between sweet and bitter. I also like how there is smooth but also crunch. Overall i think it just tastes good.

Ingredients: Ice cream: milk fat, nonfat milk, sugar, corn syrup, whey, mono, diglycerides, guar gum, polysoberate 80, carrageenan, vitamin A, palimitate.                       oreos: un bleached flour, wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid, sugar, canola oil, cocoa, corn syrup, baking soda, corn starch, soy lecithin.

A small oreo blizzard has 620 calories and 24 grams of fat.

Reasons for unhealthiness:

1) the oreo blizzard is high in hydrogenated oils which increases chloresterol levels and adds the risk of clogged arteries. (mostly from the ice cream)

2) The oreo blizzard has also shown very high levels of sodium. This is bad for you because over time it can lead to high blood pressure and a higher risk of heart attacks and strokes. Obviously we don’t want that.
