I Am Canadian
I am Canadian
From the cold winters to the boiling summers
From the cold coffee to the warm ice cream
I am Canadian
B.C. is my home born and raised
the small town of Williams lake is where I’m from
The cold winters are what keep me amazed
And yet I skate to the beet of my own drum
My family founded New West minister
I know the streets like the back of my palm
Because of the hockey that gives me a blister
This town always keeps me calm
Williams lake has a special place in my heart
Like the hockey I always play
My town is a work of art
Full of loving family there to stay
The Dogwood flower something that my great aunt gained
My great uncle in the lacrosse hall of fame
Intensely she fought , Intensely he trained
Both to win the game
Lions, Caps, Canucks our home teams
They are where I live
Vancouver the place to beat
Also a place where snow messes with the drivers
I am Canadian
From the cold winters to the boiling summers
From the cold coffee and the warm ice cream
I am Canadian
Midterms :)
Midterms are finally over! ( All of you just silently cheered) I have to admit that I was really scared when I was told that there was going to be a Math 9 midterm. I was relived when I was told that the exam was only worth 10% of our grade, but I was still terrified of failing! The night before I must have consumed gallons of coffee while I tried to memorise how to solve countless numbers of equations! Lately I haven’t been doing as well as I’d like to in math. Mind you this is the first year that I’m learning it in English, as I am in French emersion and was taught math in French up to this year. Still that is not the full case. I do admit that I should apply myself a little more and ask more questions.
This next semester I’m going turn it all around. I’m going to be brave and ask more question, review often and pay closer attention in class! Mr. Thies better prepare himself, cause he’s going to have a whole new student! I hope everyone has had a great 1rst semester and I wish you luck for the second! I’ll see you in the new semester, laterz!
