This week in precal 11
One thing I learned this week was that if you have an exponent as fractions and you’re multiplying it to a negative exponent, it would be much easier to multiply the exponents first.
I was really confused with this question on the workbook
After asking for a bit of help, I managed to figure out how to simplify this expression.
In the first step, I converted the -5 to a fraction over 1.
In the second step, you can multiply the right side by 3 to have same denominators.
Then you can use the product law to add the exponents together.
from step 4, because the exponent is a negative, you must put a 1 over the x.
step 6 is just going further, and making your expression an entire radical.
