Purpose:
which fruit will produce the most electric voltage.
Hypothesis:
The fruit that will produce the most electric voltage will be a lemon when trying other fruits.
Materials:
goggles, 1 voltmeter, 2 wires, 1 nail, 1 copper strip, at least 3 fruits
Procedure:
put the nail in fruit
put copper in fruit
hook up wires to nail and copper then put onto voltmeter
Reasoning:
The reason I think that the lemon will produce the most electric volts is because of the citric acid.
Conclusion:
My hypothesis was correct. My hypothesis was that the lemon will put out the most electric volts. Compared to the other fruits you could see the difference very clear.
Results:
Lemon 2 volts
Apple 1.5 volts
orange 1.5 volts
questions:
the independent variable is how much volts come out of the fruit
the dependent variable is the nails and the copper wire.
The two controlled variables are the fruit we use and how much of the fruit we use
the way we could have modified this experiment is that we use full fruits instead of slices of fruit one because of the mess and we would get more power
what would be a source of error is that we used the fruit a lot and some of the fruits got squished so an error is that we destroyed the fruits so after the 4 used of the fruit someone else couldn’t use because the fruit was cut in half or slices so all the juices came out.
how u would use this in your everyday life is charged ur phone, won’t be very fast may take a while to even get 1 percent tho.
