“Are writers and artists as important to society as scientists and engineers?”

 

I believe that both sets of peoples are crucial to society; however, I think that scientists and engineers are much more important to the advancement of the world. Artists and writers can spread love, joy and positivity, but those things do not necessarily keep the world moving. Scientists and engineers have built this world we live in today and are continuing to grow and create a more advanced livable world. The artistic group takes the world that’s been created and given to them by the more scientific group to spread their message and get their voice out but without all of these different types of communication they would have no way of spreading their voice. Medicine is where it is today, because of all the research and knowledge from scientists and without some of their findings there would be less hope around the world due to the worries of illness and sickness. All of the homes, buildings and offices that we live in have been created by people who have gone to school for many years to be able to do something that helps every single person in one way or another. So in the end I think that scientists are more important to our growing world.
