Walk on the Wild Side Lab

In this lab we had to chose a movement other than normal walking and time it in 5 second intervals then measure the distance to find the time and position and turn it into a graph. The first movement Tianna and I chose for our positive direction was a crab walk. Each time we timed and had measured the movement it was a little different based on how big of steps I took and how fast I went. For Negative I chose a backwards crawl for my movement and again, got slightly different measurements for each step I took. For standing still, because I stayed at the same position as time went on the position stayed the same the for the whole 30 seconds. We did this Lab to help better our understanding of uniform motion and how to graph it. It also better our understanding of calculating slopes for time-position graphs. We can use this in the real world for better understanding how far and long we have gone while doing basic daily activities and if we are moving in a uniform motion or not.

First video: me moving in a positive direction doing the sideways crab walk.

Second Video: me moving inn a negative direction doing a backwards crawl.
