For my interview, I decided to interviewed mochamochicake, who is an internet artist. She had started selling her own products and she has currently 94.9K instagram follower. I chose to interview her because I had always been a fan of her art, she has her own unique drawing style and character. I had started my art account two years ago but I had stop uploading my art work, part of the reasons were I don’t think anyone seen my work and I couldn’t find my drawing style. After the interview, I learned that its important to be patient and keep practicing. But if you are tired, take a little break.

Q1 Why are you passionate about your job?

I am passionate about art because I get to share my imagination through it. I can be as creative as I want, and I think it is very fun and rewarding coming up with different ideas, practicing, and using different mediums.

Q2 What are obstacles have you faced to get you there you are today?

Getting my art to be noticed online was a huge obstacle. I wanted to find out what my audience liked, but it also had to be something that I enjoyed making. It was very slow at the beginning, but eventually I began to figure it out, and I was able to open a business. Other obstacles include improving, practicing, and taking criticisms and advice.

Q3 What advice would you pass on to someone interested in what you are doing?

You probably hear this very often, but practicing and patience is the best way to improve. If you are unmotivated or have an art block, do not force yourself to keep on creating art. Take a rest, and try again later.

Q4 Would you be open to further contact from Riverside students and if so, how can someone contact you?

Yes, you can DM me on Instagram.

Q5 Are you satisfied with your current job? Is there any thing you want to try out in the future?

I am happy with art as a hobby, and pursuing a non-art related job in the future. I feel like if I do art as a job, it will no longer be fun for me, and I will lose inspiration and creativity. I would love to get more comfortable with other types of art mediums, work with more brands, and expand my shop.

Q6 Is there certain degree or education you need in order for you to get your job?

I think it is always a benefit to have an educational background, even for art.

This interview inspire me a lot, I realized that there will be many obstacle that you will need to go through, but it is important to not give up your passion. I am glad that I have this opportunity to do this interview with her, this information help me a lot. Thank you @mochamochicake for doing this interview with me!
