This week in PreCalc 11, we finished our unit on Graphing Quadratics. Two weeks ago, I didn’t even know what a parabola was, and tomorrow, we are having a unit test revolving around them. We didn’t learn much this week because it was mostly a review to help us get ready for our test but we did have one lesson on “Modelling and Solving Problems with Quadratic Functions.”

It was a really unique/interesting/confusing lesson for me because I didn’t quite understand how quadratic functions and word problems were related, I definitely have a better understanding of it now but it wasn’t my favourite lesson in this unit. Basically the main objective is to create an equation from the problem it gives you, you have to figure out your x and y values and then go from there.
