- Describe a Strength that you think you have regarding what we have covered so far in Calculus 12. It could be about a specific curricular competencies or the core competencies.
Honestly speaking, I feel that I have not had many strengths in the course considering my success, but if I had to choose one area I would say my personal responsibility. I feel this is the case as in the past unit I improved on my homework completion skills, and believe I completed every assignment on time, with intent to successfully move onto the next lesson the day after.
2. Describe a Stretch (something that you still need to work on) regarding what we have covered so far in Calculus 12. It could be about a specific curricular competencies or the core competencies.
In this course, I feel a big stretch for me has been my communication skills. To me, this is a stretch that stands out to me as I believe I have failed to communicate my struggles with my teacher and ask questions, as well as attend tutorials. This directly correlates with my communication skills, as I must know to properly communicate with my teacher during times of struggle, in order to clarify topics.
3. Describe a measurable Goal that you would like to achieve before the course is over. Include a description of how you plan to achieve this goal.
For this course, my goal is to attempt and achieve a 86% or higher. This is lower than my prediction from Pre-Calculus 12, as I have realized of this course’s difficulty, and have now written two tests to back up this statement. I plan to achieve my goal by the end of this semester. Specifically, I plan on doing this by beginning to ask questions more frequently, by beginning to attend tutorials each week, and by completing my assignments every night. If I take these steps and remain consistent, I believe I can achieve this goal.
