This week, my best mistake was when we started learning about the Sine Law and Cosine Law. In one of the triangle questions, before I fully understood which types of triangles use Sine Law and which use Cosine Law, I assumed it was a Cosine Law triangle. When I checked the answer, I realized I had gotten it wrong but didn’t understand why. After learning more about the topic, I realized my mistake and understood that when a triangle has a known angle directly across from a known side, it should be solved using the Sine Law, not the Cosine Law.
