Personal goal statement
In the next 7 months starting from today, I will complete a total of 70 novels ranging from science fiction to mystery. Every day, I will give 30 minutes of my time focusing on one novel. Every Sunday, I will finish the remaining pages left. Then repeat the process until I reach the deadline. Visiting the local library or school library to look for novels that interest me as well as asking my English teacher for book recommendations would be a tremendous help in discovering a wide variety of novels. When the novel is way too complex to the point that the plot doesn’t make sense anymore, I will slow down and search for the words that I don’t understand on Google to keep myself updated and not lose track.
Academic goal statement
By the end of the third quarter, I will get an A in Spanish. I will give myself 30 minutes to review the vocabulary given on Teams and to prepare for the test 3 days ahead of time to avoid cramming. For the speaking test, I will make sure that I know how to pronounce the letters and how to say the whole word properly. Lastly, submitting all the work in my Spanish class will make an enormous change in my grades and it would also do me a favour by not stressing over late assignments. If I don’t understand the lesson, I will look for it on YouTube and write notes or ask my Spanish teacher after class on the areas that I don’t entirely understand. I usually start procrastinating when the vocabulary that we need to memorize is too long. I need to stop this habit by rewarding myself after I finish studying or to remind myself that I need to do this task to achieve my goal.
