- Give three reasons why you would like this job (be specific)
Being a defense attorney support the needs of people in my community or globally who are wrongfully-accused/represent a person that is charged with a criminal offence. I can help them by ensuring that the rights of my client are protected in every part of the criminal process.
I am dedicated and passionate on becoming a lawyer since it’s a goal of mine that I want to accomplish.
Lawyers are among the highest-paid professionals in the legal industry, and most attorneys earn salaries well above the national average. This will help me provide for myself and my family.
2. Give three reasons why you would not like this job (be specific)
I heard that it is hard to find work after school because of outsourcing now. This may leave me unemployed and unable to raise enough money.
Extremely high student debt: this could be a problem for me and my family. I also need to think of our financial situation before going through law school.
A long time to study, I can potentially lose three years of primary earning in law school, including four years of undergraduate.
3. Is this job for you? Why or why not?
At this time, this has been my goal. Many things can happen in the future that might affect or influence my ideas on being a lawyer. I have other plans as well, such as being a chef, forensic scientist and/or flight attendant. But at this point, I am dedicated to be a defense lawyer to defend my clients that are wrongly-accused.
4. Explain the value of the TOKTW experience in relation to your ideas about your post secondary (after high school) plans (education? training? travel? work?).
I get to personally see and understand how my uncle is doing his job, I get ideas and strategies on how I can achieve my goal and helps me make up my mind on what career/s that I can take in the future. This also help me because I am asking someone who clearly has experience and he can gave me advice and more information on how to be a lawyer.
