writing prompt #1:

“people had to entertain themselves: music, dance, games (cards, checkers, chess)”

i think that we still entertain ourselves just in more advanced ways like technology/devices which is why we put it in the “continuity” column.

 

writing prompt #2:

“the invention of the steam locomotive made land travel accessible to all social classes”

why we put this in the “change” column is because we don’t use a steam locomotive anymore but we do use new technology like cars and trains so it was a tough one to decide but this sentence said the steam locomotive so thats the reason its in the change column.
