The topic for our Indigenous Exploration podcast was residential schools. My partner for this was Andrew.

A) I had a good experience making this podcast; I had a good time when writing the script, and recorded punctually. However, we stayed serious when talking and recorded about the somber subject.
B) On the first few days of writing, we had a hard time getting started, but once we had, we were on a roll. We also wrote bullet points for us to record a less stilted discussion for the podcast. Once we were recording, it was very easy to get distracted by our phones or other things. We eventually got all sections recorded. Andrew was the one to edit in the music, and then he sent the finished podcast to me to put on my edublog.
C) While recording, we found it was very easy to become distracted by simply talking about things, going on our phones, or making edits to the script. So, on the first recording day, we did not get much done. However, on the second day, we remembered what had happened and recorded without distractions. We also learned a lot about residential schools and the people who survived them. I read the Secret Path for the first time, and found that it was very interesting and a sad book to read.Critical Thinking –
I have learned a lot about residential schools in class before, but I also learned new things while working on this project, specifically about the conditions inside residential schools. I definitely gained new knowledge and insight into residential schools.
