For my Community Connections assignment, I chose to interview an actress named Evangela Kepinski. She has appeared in United Players productions such as “The Thursday Night Bridge Circle,” “A Christmas in Wales,” and “The Here and This and Now.” She has a BA in theatre and graduated from Langara College’s Studio 58. I contacted Evangela after she collaborated with my father in “A Christmas in Wales.”
I asked the four given questions as well as 3 I came up with.
She answered all of my questions in detail. After I thanked Evangela, I started work on this post. She gave a lot of very helpful advice and tips to someone who is starting out in the world of acting. I am very interested in theatre and I have taken part in musicals through Pulse Productions. I learned a lot from Evangela’s answers and am interested in seeing what she takes part in in the future!

I also interviewed an actress, director, and the current artistic director for the United Players Theatre Company at the Jericho Arts Centre. She has directed such works as “A Christmas in Wales,” “Pride and Prejudice,” and “West Side Story.” Sarah has a BFA in acting and a an MFA in directing from UBC. I contacted Sarah after she collaborated with my father for “A Christmas in Wales.” I asked Sarah the same questions I asked Evangela.
Sarah gave very useful advice on how to join the world of theatre and gave good insight into her role as artistic director. I learned about the system of theatre and how you have to have passion to succeed. I thanked her for her answers and am eager to see what she directs next!
