I interviewed a ballet dancer who lives in Vancouver. she dances at costal city ballet which is a ballet company that most of my ballet teachers went to. I found her on Instagram through the coastal city ballet Instagram than I DM her. I asked her to answer a few questions she said, “of course ill answer any questions you have.” i then responded with the 4 questions and she responds with “Well currently I’m an intern with theatre koblenz, Germany. I warm up 45 mins before class and take company class, then I have a couple rehearsals, and review choreo for upcoming audition with another theater. My day starts at 10 and ends at around 5/7pm depending on the day. In my spare time I’m taking care of my body (doing strengthening exercises/ stretching/ resting/ hydrating/ eating properly) sending resumes and FaceTiming family/ friends from home. i faced a few obstacles to get where i am today like disrespectful ballet teachers and choreographers. I also had a few injuries along the way, I injured my Achillies tendon and my knee. some advice i would give to a young ballerina like yourself is to not let other people’s opinion effect your dancing and the way you look at yourself. if you ever have rude teachers or fellow students just try and take what they say and change the point of view in your head and let that fuel you into a better dancer. the one thing i am the most passionate about being a ballerina is the feeling of being on stage and the all the stage lights shining on you and knowing all the sweat blood and tears you put yourself through all paid off for this beautiful moment.” I then respond with my two questions, “when and why did you start dancing” “what other styles of dance do u do other than ballet what style of dance would it be.” she responded with “i started dancing when i was around 4 just in my local rec centers before was old enough to join a studio, my mom put me in it and then i just fell in love with it. if i’m not doing ballet i’m doing contemporary because it is helpful to mourn ballet and I enjoy it.

Respect
My interpretation of this image is that people from a different race then white people are normally disrespected in our society and are constantly living in fear of getting killed by police when police are supposed to protect our society. This image is telling a story but in the first image there are a bunch of other black people in the back representing the ghost or spirits of people who have been killed in situations like these. The man just wanted to bird watch and now his life is at risk so he stays calm and doesn’t speak anymore to keep the situation as calm as possible then walks away but the woman follows him if she was really in danger, she would want him to leave her but she’s not leaving him. The way he handled that situation was the best he could have done. When the lady started calling the police the first thing that probably came to mind is this is how Amadou Diallo, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd died and he wanted to get out of this alive so he could show is respect to all who didn’t survive and try and make a difference, so this doesn’t happen again. The man was given binoculars by his father to go get some fresh air, so he decided to go bird watching. As he was observing the birds a dog comes chasing after all the birds disturbing the peace having all the birds fly around and the man noticed the dog was off leach in a on leach zone, so the man kindly asked the dog owner to put her dog on a leash. The lady then got defensive and suddenly felt threatened by this man just for asking her to put her dog on a leach and she started to call the police and tell them “There is a black man threatening me at a park”. The man starts to walk away remembering all the stories of other black people getting shot by the police even though the police is supposed to protect us he is scared by the police. The lady proceeds to follow him and tells him he can’t walk away from her but if she really felt threatened, she would be happy he is leaving not keep following him. The woman was obviously not in danger and it obvious that she did that because of the color of his skin. I hate things like this is an everyday problem that people of color and different cultures must deal with.
Our grammar rule is compound and simple sentences, a compound sentence is a sentence with over one verb and subject, its where two subjects are in one sentence. One example of a compound sentence is ” I dropped my ice cream on the ground, and I started crying” in that sentence there are two subjects and two verbs. a simple sentence is when there is only one subject and verb.
