I am passionate about becoming an orthodontist in the future because I’ve always been insecure about my smile and becoming an ortho just gave me ideas on how I can help others prevent to not be insecure about their smile on how I was. I interviewed Dr. Marriane because she is passionate on what I am passionate about, she helped me a lot and gave me advices that could help me in the future. Marriane had been one of the people that gave me advices and helped me through this project, I also learnt a lot to becoming an ortho.What Marriane is passionate about her job . Marriane is passionate about orthodontist because it has been her dream job, she said “I get to help people achieve their dream smile everyday”. Marriane spent countless of hours studying to ensure she receive the best grades to get into the school’s that she needed to become a doctor.The obstacles Marianne had to go through to becoming an ortho is, She had to sacrificed time spent with friends and family, but at the end she said it was worth it!. The advise she’d give to the people that are wanting to become an ortho in the future , is to really decide if dentistry is what they want to pursue for their career. She recommends shadowing dentists, orthodontists, and other specialists to truly understand what a day in the life of a dental professional is really like. Once you are certain this is the career you want, she would advise staying on top of your grades, mastering your extra-curricular activities, and enjoying the path to your dream job!. What made Marriane to where she is at today,
Marriane worked hard to get to where she is, because she knows how her job makes a difference in the lives in many teenagers. We are also self conscious she said about our appearances and sheI truly believe having a stunning smile adds so much to our lives. Knowing that she can give that to people is what has helped motivate her. What made Marriane work harder for this job, Marriane completed college in 3 years by earning enough AP credits in high school to do.She then applied dental school while in college and started right away for her 4 years of training. She went straight into residency for an additional 3 years. Throughout her training, She did various extra-curricular activities (student government, class representative, dental mission trips) to not only stay active in my chosen field, but also to develop relationships with friends and other like-minded colleagues.
