Part 1: What areas (see above) do you think you are doing well in for PHE 10?  

I think I am doing well in my effort level and working with others. when we do our 3 km runs for our fitness testing and our pushups etc, I also feel like i can work well in a group sports and activitys.

 

 

 

Part 2: In what areas do you need to put in more effort? ie: where are you struggling or finding things difficult? 

I think i can put more effort in when i find the activity boring, because i dont have as much intrest to try. I think I sruggle with listening when sitting for long periods of time.

 

 

 

 

Part 3: What is your goal for the second term of the semester? Where do you want to improve? How will you improve this area (be specific)? 

I want to improve on my listening skills. I can also set goals to make my grade in PE 10 higher.

 

 

 

 

 

pe 9 self reflection

what are my strengths?

I think me strengths are that I am athletic due to me playing soccer and lacrosse outside of school another strength I have is that I think I can work with others well and pass the ball when we play games that involve a ball

what are my stretches?

when I am tired from sports the previous day or just wake up really tired my participation drops a lot and I’m not as involved, this is the same when i am very energetic i don’t listen a lot

what are my goals?

my goal is to try and stay focused when I’m feeling energetic or really tired, I would also like to improve my athletic ability more and more

– Your experiences creating this assignment.

I had a good experience creating this assignment from my group member to the assignment in general i think this was more of a fun assignment then a difficult one because we had all the information we needed on one website. This website is also very trustworthy so the research was not stressful, it has been on other assignments. I liked how we could go to rooms and work in a quiet space on our own with the Logitech microphones.

– Your group’s path in researching the topic.

First we used Gale Power to research the main problems to do with our topic witch was residential school abuse then we used google to find victims that survived the residential schools and there story’s

– Obstacles or items you learnt in recording.

learnt that the quality of the igloo microphones weren’t always the best so sometimes we didn’t use them.

Trevor vilac/Architect

I chose to interview him because I am looking to become an architect when I’m older. what I learned from this interview is I have to decide sooner or later weather I defiantly want to become an architect. Trevor is my neighbors son in law so I interviewed him in person.

 

Can you explain your roles and responsibilities with your current position?

Big picture was designing buildings and helping people design houses and making sure there ok with there design.

 

What obstacles have you faced to get were you are today?

The schooling was difficult it took 6 and a half years to get a masters

 

What advice would you pass onto someone interested in what you are doing?

Be in it for the long haul because it’s a very demanding profession and be sure you want to do it because some people do it for a bit and decide its not for them.

 

Why are you passionate about your job or role?

Designing buildings and spaces for communities for different groups all over bc. Making an impaction witch is a very satisfying thing

 

What’s your favorite part about your job?

The variety not a 9-5 job sometimes your working with drawing, sketch with hand or computer working with contractors

 

Why did you pick your job?

when I was Younger and did any traveling I really liked castles and historic building, when playing video games made building instead of playing games witch was a very telling sign

cells miosis and mitosis

  1. Was mitosis or meiosis easier to model?

They were both the same amount of work but mitosis was a little easier due to having an example video to follow

 

  1. What was the most challenging thing in making your movie?

My seven questions were the hardest because I didn’t understand the last two questions another thing I struggled in doing was doing work when my partner wasn’t here because I didn’t have a photo.

 

  1. What was the easiest thing to do in making your movie?

Doing the brain storming sheet cause it took use five mins due to already having the note in our booklet.

 

  1. How could you improve your movie?

Take photos more so that our movie will be smoother and it will look a lot better.

 

  1. Thinking about how you worked with your partner(s), what were some of the challenges and successes of working in a group?

A challenge was doing work when my partner wasn’t here an up side is that we only have to do half the work so we finished everything 2 days earlier.

 

  1. Why is Mitosis important? In other words, what is the point of cells performing Mitosis?

Cause cells die and we need them so more is better then none

 

  1. Why is Meiosis important? In other words, what is the point of cells performing Meiosis?

It’s the equivalent of sexual reproduction for animals
