electric house

problem

a problem we had in our house was that when attaching wires onto our battery the wires wouldn’t’ve stay unless we taped them on the force them to stay but even when we did so they would still frequently detach from the battery and be very finicky and annoying to work with.

dream

the dream to fix the problem was to make a box to hold the battery and attach the battery to wires without the worry of them falling off, kind of like a generator looking box to make it match the house. another idea we could have done was make clips to clip the wires onto the batter but this seemed harder to do because what if the clips would not have bend and just snap.

deliver

we went with our first idea the mini generator at first we found it hard to design an idea to get the wires and battery to stay, but after designing for a whole block we came up with a design that effectively fits the battery with a hole in the end that we can separate wires and make them touch the battery.

debrief

after we successfully made our design and printed it witch took about 45 minutes, but when looking at the model before printing we didn’t add supports for the hole for the wires. as we went to go pick our print up it was somewhat unusable as it had more then a few error such as wires not going in or it cracking in random places with little no no force, so we reprinted this time adding supports witch turned out perfect and fit the wires and the battery effortlessly.
