Trevor vilac/Architect

I chose to interview him because I am looking to become an architect when I’m older. what I learned from this interview is I have to decide sooner or later weather I defiantly want to become an architect. Trevor is my neighbors son in law so I interviewed him in person.

 

Can you explain your roles and responsibilities with your current position?

Big picture was designing buildings and helping people design houses and making sure there ok with there design.

 

What obstacles have you faced to get were you are today?

The schooling was difficult it took 6 and a half years to get a masters

 

What advice would you pass onto someone interested in what you are doing?

Be in it for the long haul because it’s a very demanding profession and be sure you want to do it because some people do it for a bit and decide its not for them.

 

Why are you passionate about your job or role?

Designing buildings and spaces for communities for different groups all over bc. Making an impaction witch is a very satisfying thing

 

What’s your favorite part about your job?

The variety not a 9-5 job sometimes your working with drawing, sketch with hand or computer working with contractors

 

Why did you pick your job?

when I was Younger and did any traveling I really liked castles and historic building, when playing video games made building instead of playing games witch was a very telling sign
