I know I didn’t mention it before, but technically, America enjoys no war for 100yrs with other countries… they will have their Civil War in 1861.
Ontario wasn’t created as a result of the War of 1812. Upper Canada already existed, they won’t call it Ontario until after Confederation in 1867.
It might fit better with our history to say that the War of 1812 showed that we turned our backs on the Aboriginals, we’ll see that in most of Canada’s history.
