Science App Review – “Isotope – Periodic Table”
The problem I had was with the periodic table, I couldnt remember or didn’t know what everything meant and where things were located. This app helps that because of it’s intuitive design and it’s explanation to the different parts of the periodic table.
The app that I have chosen for my review is called “Isotope – Periodic Table” for android devices.
Isotope – Periodic table is an app that provides detailed descriptions of every element on the periodic table. It provides the atomic number, atomic mass, discovery year, melting and boiling point, period group, Etc.
This app ran very smoothly on my device and I didn’t experience any problems with it at all. Maneuvering through the different info pages and elements was very smooth and was animated nicely. I experienced some lagging once or twice, but the app is constantly being updated so It should be fixed shortly.
The app has a display of the entire periodic table with pictures of the elements. Tapping on an element shows the weight and atomic number of the element. The info button will show the group and period, Atomic mass, atomic number, and any other relevant information you want on the element.
This app can teach students the different parts of the Periodic table and what they mean. It can with understanding the groups and periods and the terms such as Atomic Number or Atomic mass.
This app is free to use but if you want an upgraded version it will cost $1.19. The upgraded version can give you changes to the theme of the table and more info.
Something I think the developer should add is showing the different groups of elements like the Alkali Metals or Halogens. This may be added later or could be in the upgraded version, but I couldn’t find any way to show these.
Other than that, this app is great. The app is very intuitive and smooth when you’re searching through it’s elements. I would give this app 4/5 stars. the only reason it isn’t 5/5 because of the lack of some information and some minor glitches.
