My digital footprint may affect my chances of receiving the job that I apply for in the future, if my employers see my twitter and I’ve tweeted something offensive they may not hire me. Or if you’re a freelance photographer and someone is hiring you. If they do research on you and find out that you tweeted something offensive on your social media, they probably wouldn’t want to be your client.
If you want to keep your digital footprint clean, there are a couple of ways you can do that. 1. Think before you post something, when you read your post, think about what how it could affect you later. Link
2. Set privacy settings on your social media, make sure that there isn’t anything that you wouldn’t want people to see on your social media.
Link 3.Post positive things, don’t post something that is hateful towards others. If you just post positively, you won’t have the risk of posting something that others may not enjoy as much as you do.
I would tell other students that they shouldn’t be so fast to post things because if they don’t think about it, it could end up ruining their career.
Digital footprints don’t have to be a bad thing, but they can also be really bad if you don’t know how to use it.
