Filmmaker’s Statement

My name is Eva Lo, who have a passion on making film and sharing creative aspects to the audience. I enjoy working with my group members, as they inspire me to become an advanced filmmaker that can generate plots for the characters to act in. With this in mind, I learn the Adobe software for using photoshop and video editing, which can be applied for my film assignments to create a better quality cliché of image and sound for the audience to stay immerse in. It was challenging, as there were many tools to edit and take on to the next level, such as transition between the scenes and finding music that weren’t copyrighted by the source (SoundCloud). On the other hand, working with group members, who had an opposing idea, was a situation that was uncontrollable. However, with much time management and effort into communication, we can certainly agree on a topic and continue shooting for our film to inspire our audience. Although, filmmaking was somewhat challenging than I thought, it was fun to collaborate, communicate with actors, playing with the positions to carry out the film.

My favourite film was doing the Midnight At The Museum, since we were able to communicate efficiently and organize information, that we were able to save time. It took some weeks to find the actors, however, the director efficiently created a pleasant plot, which everyone was onto the idea of heist and love to contribute to the final film. I was there to assist for the director during the weekend, such as helping and greeting the actors, organizing the timeline, and managing the spots to help out. This was exciting as my experience there helped the overall film to create a positive atmosphere for the team. Thanks to my director (Simone Nathalia), who inspires me into filmmaking, because she was able to pursue me into the work of masterpiece, where everyone put their ideas to create a new aspect that we can enjoy watching on. Such as that would apply to my future for making more films and carrying out the team if needed, when it comes to my workplace. And friend’s groups for doing more technology in university, such as a documentary for a certain topic of my classes. It would be great!
