There was nothing specifically that I had problems with but I had small stumps along the way. The first stump I had was coming up with a practical idea that I would be able to use on a daily basis, after thinking for awhile I had realized that I always misplaced my earrings which has caused me to loose them often, so I decided to make an earring holder. Although I had used it before, I had trouble aligning the border with the bottom of my design. After several attempts, I decided to ask another Tech Team member for assistance, which helped me solve the problem efficiently.
What are some things that worked well?
I was really happy with the end result as I only needed to do one print, which saved time and materials. The sizing of the earring holder worked well for my needs, as I don’t have too many earrings. The overall design turned out well in terms of sizing, the sturdiness of the print, and the neatness of the details, especially the imprint of my name.
What did you learn? What personalization did you do?
I learnt how useful 3d printers can be in terms of practicality and other uses because before this project, the only time I would use 3d printers was for school projects which would apply to the course content and not to myself. The personalization I decided on was simply putting my name in the middle of the earring holder as an imprint.
