Minecraft Solution Fluency Eco Friendly Factory
Define
One of climate change’s problem are the factories. Certain factories that burn up fossil fuels or use toxic materials, contribute so much to climate change because of the greenhouses gases like carbon dioxide and methane that comes out of the place. These greenhouse gases trap the sun’s heat into our atmosphere which makes the earth warmer. They also do a lot of worse things to our planet like: melting off the ice in Antartica which kills the animal’s habitats, increased forest fires, change on farm’s crops, and abnormal weather patterns. Another thing that adds to the problem of factories, is how they cause air pollution and water pollution. Air pollution can harm so many animal and even human’s who breathe the toxic air. Water pollution is a big thing for me, some factories use the ocean as a garbage dump for their unwanted wastes, these chemicals and materials obviously contaminates the water.

So, what are the main problems of factories and how can my group change it to be an eco friendly factory?
- Burning fossil fuels
Burning fossil fuels are what causes greenhouse gases to be released in the air. Instead of burning fossil fuels to create energy, we found out we could use renewable energy like solar panels and wind turbines.
- Solar panels changes the sun’s energy into electricity
- Wind turbines changes the kinetic energy from wind into electricity
2. Releasing toxic chemicals into the air
These chemicals poison and contaminate the air, water, habitats and homes, farmlands, and more.
I figured the way we could fix this problem is to filter the air in these machines to kill off the harmful chemicals. Specifically, air compressors, this device might not be big, but it could help by storing more air in machines by using their energy.
3. Wasting an abundance of water and materials
Factories tend to dump dirty water into oceans and use a lot of unecessary materials to build other things without trying to reuse. Those problems is equal to water waste and not recycling. In our minecraft factory, we have a water filter to convert dirty water into clean water so that there is no waste. We also have a recycling area that recycles: plastic, glass, cardboard, and other wastes.

This project overall was a challenge for me because it took me a while to get started and get it done. Overall my group did a good job discussing what problem we need to solve and what we’re going to build out of it. We didn’t really have a hard time building it in minecraft because my group partner is a pro builder. This overall project was a challenge for me though because it took me a while to get started because I couldn’t really do it at home since, my wifi was cut off. Something I think we as a group succeeded well on is our idea about Eco Friendly factories and how it came out on Minecraft. I think it looks really good. Something I think I succeeded on is my research piece. I have done a ton of research in order to make this factory eco friendly. If we as a group, had to do this project again, I would fix a couple things about the factory making it more realistic. If I had to do this project again, I would obviously try to get it handed it on time because I did struggle with the deadline.

Very good explanation of how you used the solution fluency to address an issue. Good work discovering a solution to your issue and citing your sources. You included effective media to demonstrate your solution. Good work.
