Week #12 in Math 10 “Functions”

This week in Math 10, we learned about the difference between function and relations. The main difference between functions and relations, is that relations can have a repeated x value (input), and functions don’t. For example

Relations: (3,4) (2,6) (3,7) (6,3)
Functions: (1,2) (3,4) (5,6) (7,8)

Another way to tell the difference between a function and relation, is through graphing them. If you see points stacked in a graph, that is a relation and will never be a function. Functions create a line.
