My Digital Footprint

         Question 1:

This assignment has taught me how big someone’s digital footprint be, you can find anyone on the internet, and sometimes the can ruin your chances of getting the job that you want or getting into the school that you wanted. Once something is on the internet, it will never disappear, even if only been there for a couple of seconds it could be shared, screen recorded, or screenshotted, then from there it can be reposted. That’s why it’s important to make sure you have a safe digital footprint. The way my digital footprint could affect my future is if I’m applying for a job they might search my first and last name they could see something I did that they didn’t think that was professional and it gave me a reputation, or if I’m applying to a college or university and I had posted something that didn’t go along with the schools’ morals they could put my on the waitlist or reject me.

Question 2:

Ways you can keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe, you can make sure the accounts that you have are private and only accept people that you know and trust, and make sure the things you are posting are appropriate and follow the community guidelines and, don’t post personal things like your address, or the names of your close family and friends to keep you and the people around you safe.
