Chem 11 self-assesment Co-op

Content paragraph: Personal responsibility

My strengths in this category are that i attend class on time with everything prepared and in my bag. I am ready to learn and get all my work done prior to class so that i am the best equipped for what we are going to learn next. I ask for help when i need it and  ask my table group first then when no one can help me i ask the teacher. I never want to leave class confused because that means when i do the work at home i wont know how to do it. I am also good at wanting to do well in this corse. I study a lot and try my best even though sometime i don’t see the results i am hoping for. But continue to strive to be better.

My weaknesses are that I tend to talk a lot in class to all my friends and there are days that i am on task and some days that i am not as much. So i want to be able to get most of my work done in class and not have full on conversations with my table group and distract everyone else around me. And even when people talk to me i want to get back to work fast by answering their question then going back to what i was doing.

My goal:

My goal is to talk less to my group members when it’s time to work. I will complete this by starting my work right away and only talking about the work to my group instead of talking about other things and getting side tracked. I will try my best to not talk to them and tell them to not talk to me about other things so that i dont get off task.

Co-op self assessment, revising midterm goal

#1: Did you meet your goal be specific and provide examples

Yes, I do think that I met my goal since my goal was to make my Conclusions more concise on my labs in physics and I definitely think I did that since my marks kept going up on labs. I even got 10 out of 10 on one of my labs, which I’m really proud of.

#2: what success/challenges were you faced with and working towards your goals?

It was really hard to not write everything that was in my head Since I feel like I was programmed to think writing more is better in every single detail will get you a better Mark. When in reality No one wants to mark that and it’s even more of an no one wants to mark that and it’s even more of a skill to write less, but write all the information info. And then my success in this was getting a 10 out of 10.

#3: What steps/strategies did you use to meet your goal?

I tried to limit myself to four sentences max for my conclusions so that I wouldn’t go and ramble on about everything I possibly could and just the important information.

#4: Does your goal need to be modified for future courses?

next semester, I’m not taking any courses that would have labs so it would be modified to maybe write less for questions in like my law class and only write the important information. Since in socials, I do tend to try and write a lot.

#5: What goal would you like to focus on in your next semester courses?

I wanna try and have a better work life balance, and not be as stressed because this semester is really taken everything out of me and I wanna learn how to manage both. In the long run, I think being able to do that will help me and allow me achieve the grades I want to, but also not be burnt out.
