Footprint – Ellie G.

Digital Footprint:

Question: How might your digital footprint impact your high school experience?

A: Your digital footprint can impact your high school experience in several ways. Positively, it can give you a place to showcase achievements and talents, which is great for university applications. However, a negative footprint from inappropriate online behaviour can lead to getting in trouble and harming your reputation. Being a responsible digital citizen is crucial for a positive high school experience, which is why it is so important to learn about topics like this early on.

Self-Regulation

Question: How can your phone have a positive and negative impact on your learning?

A: Your phone can impact learning both positively and negatively. It’s a valuable tool for accessing educational resources, staying organized, and communicating with your friends, peers, and family. However, it can also be a source of distractions and disrupt sleep patterns if used excessively. Balancing its benefits and drawbacks is essential for effective learning.

School Culture:

Question: What elements of school culture are necessary for you to be successful both academically and socially?

A: For academic and social success, schools should encourage curiosity, teamwork, and critical thinking, with accessible resources and supportive teachers. Schools should also encourage and respect among peers, creating a balance between academic achievement and personal growth.
