This week we started learning about linear relations. One thing that we focused a lot on was graphing and how to plot coordinates on a graph. Knowing how to properly plot graphs is really important since it’s base knowledge from last year.
STEP 1: Recognize the x-axis (horizontal) and y-axis (vertical)
STEP 2: Recognize the Quadrants (counter clockwise)
STEP 3: Count your x-axis and plot on graph (left/right)
STEP 4: Count your y-axis and plot on graph (up/down)
HINT: The numbers of coordinates give hints as to where they will be on the graph
EXAMPLES:
VOCABULARY:
Quadrant: squares where coordinates will be plotted
X-axis: horizontal
Y-axis: vertical
Plotting: drawing points on graph
