Title: How does one fight injustice?

Source: Danger of Silence

In the Ted Talk “Danger of Silence” by Clint Smith, the author fights injustice by telling his audience that one should “tell their truth.” (Smith) The author talks about how he makes his class feel safe sharing their own opinions and points of views on different types of subjects when he says, “Tell your truth.” (Smith) He says, “I spent so much of my life telling people the things they wanted to hear instead of the things they needed to” (Smith).  I can relate to that because of how I usually talk about cheerful and happy topics rather than important, life altering topics.  Clint Smith realized that it’s better to talk to people about certain situations and topics rather than just letting them slide by.  The more you talk about something that concerns you rather than something that cheers you up, the more intelligent and thoughtful the person that’s listening to you would think you are.  It’s common sense.  As Clint Smith says, “Tell your truth” (Smith).  In the “Danger of Silence”, Clint Smith shows that one can fight injustice by believing in their opinion and “telling their truth.”
