Week 1 – My Arthmetic Sequence

This week in math we learned about Arithmetic Sequences and Series.

My arithmetic sequence is 6, 13, 20, 27, 34

To find $t_n$ , I need to use the formula $t_n=t_1+(n-1)d$

So to find $t_{50}$ I need to do $t_{50}=6+(50-1)7$

The answer is 349.

To determine the sum of the first 50 terms or $S_{50}$ , I have to use the formula $S_n=\frac{n}{2}(2t_1+(n-1)d)$ , so I would use $S_{50}=\frac{50}{2}(2*6+(50-1)7)$ , which would equal 8875.
