“assimilation vs. inclusivity”

I think this is respect because, it shows how in residential schools kids would be forced to forget about their culture. I also see that the people that are grey show more sadness because they can’t enjoy things how they used to, for example their cultural holidays. where as with the colourful people still show happiness and joyfulness in their emotions and you can still see how they wear their culture. Nowadays so many indigenous people leave their culture, so this relates to the picture because majority of them are grey rather than colourful. it also shows how theres less colourful people, which makes me think about how slowly they’ll be forgetting about their culture and becoming like the grey people. In conclusion this picture shows the lack of respect for indigenous people and how unfairly they were treated.
