Inequalities are these signs “< = >” and are used to see if a number or a hidden number is smaller or bigger or equal to another number

it is important to be able to identify inequalities because it is something that will be good to know when pursuing mathematics

 

in math we right from left to right so the inequality sign always revolves around the number on the right

if the > sign is used then the number on the right is smaller

and if the < sign is used then the number on the left is bigger

a good way to remember this is by using the alligator strategy

the alligator is hungry and wants to eat the biggest so its mouth (<) always points to the biggest number
