3. What are the duties and/or tasks you perform at your job? Using action feedback submitted to improve virtual assistant

4. What qualifications do you have for this job in the following areas?

1. Training? No training

1. Education? n/a

1. Experience? 14 years at TELUS in front line/help desk role

1. Skills and Attributes? Knowledgeable in google sheets to gather data pertaining to agent feedback

5. What are some of the things you like about the job? Being able to work on own schedule, having hands on virtual assistant (ownership of virtual assistant), good work life balance

6. What are some of the things you dislike about this job? Not paid enough, a lot of meetings, very time consuming

7. How do you anticipate this job training in the next 5 years or so? Withing the next 5 years, help desk, a job title will be irradicated becoming inferior to the virtual assistant that would take over “help desk” and be the main point of contact for support.

I wouldn’t say so, I’d much rather pursue a career dealing with software engineering in which I make more money and having flexible hours.

4. Explain the value of the TOKTW experience in relation to your ideas about your post-secondary (after high school) plans (education?, training?, travel?, work?).

The value of TOKTW is for kids to get some insight into the actual labor part of jobs and possibly taking their observations into consideration when thinking about a career path. It can be important to think about what education you might need to qualify for whatever career path your interested in, this also applying to possible training qualifications.
