Visual Safety Guide

A lot of people love cooking! As a fellow aspiring chef I have a bunch of tips I have learnt in the kitchen!

1. Always have a reason you are cooking, it makes the food more worth it. Trust! For me, I cook so I can see people gather together, to enjoy the food I make. Seeing people smile makes me smile 😀

2. Learn how to professionally dice an onion, this may seem silly, but the feeling of having tears well up in your eyes and you not being able to see is just the worst! If you can dice an onion properly, you can reduce the amount of tears you have to cry.

3. LISTEN TO THE TEACHER!!! JERRY HE IS YELLING AT YOU FOR A REASON! I cannot stress enough how important it is to take a teachers word seriously, they are only trying to teach us useful information, tips and tricks because they want to help us!!!! So take some time to appreciate them <3

4. Practice Kitchen Safety. Even though you might already know how to stay safe, it’s best to stay safe rather than sorry. Even a trained chef may make mistakes, its completely normal! In situations, if you know how to stay calm and handle the situation properly then there is no harm in practicing safety.

5. Remember to have fun! The way you feel as you cook food always affects how it tastes! trust me! If you find no joy or passion in cooking, take a break or find a reason to cook! If your not focusing it can cause accidents, it’s always best to be in the right mind when you cook as to not hurt you are the people around you.
