Three-Course-Egg-Meal
- Egg benedict-The perfect start to a breakfast!
The egg benedict, my absolute favorite breakfast item it is delicious as it is fragrant and beautiful. The origins of the egg benedict goes back a long time as well! Talk about food with a lot of history. According to legend, egg Benedict was created for and named after restaurant regulars Mr. and Mrs. LeGrand Benedict in the 1860s. The egg benedict is really a mouth watering treat, now, and in the past as well. When you have a egg benedict expect a golden brown, toasted muffin layered with flavorful Canadian bacon, topped with a poached egg and to finish, a rich and creamy hollandaise sauce and vibrant fresh herbs. The egg benedict is also packed with proteins, vitamins A and C as well as, sources of calcium and iron.
2. Bacon and cheese quiche-Protein packed lunch! Perfect for a whole family.
Quiche is a warm fluffy egg-centered like pie that brings warmth to special occasions like Christmas or thanksgiving. That doesn’t mean you can only eat this savory treat throughout the whole year though! Just one slice would be the perfect lunch to pack especially on a cold day. It is a French tart made with a simple pastry crust (with flour, butter and water) that is filled with a savory egg custard. If often includes veggies, meats, seafood, cheese or herbs mixed in as well. The one we will be making will have bacon and cheese for added flavor. Quiche is also a good source of calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium and copper.

3. Omurice (Japanese rice-omelets)-Cute AND interactive!
Omurice is a popular Japanese fusion creation blending Western omelets and Japanese fried rice. It’s usually enjoyed at home but also can be found at many Western food diners in Japan when there is leftover rice. I wanted to include some different culture foods so I choose something from my favorite food genre. Japanese food! Instead of a typical omelet, a omurice omelet is made by having a creamy omelet on top of the savory traditional styled Japanese styled friend rice. The omelet is then cut open, ,making a blanket of egg on top of the rice. You could even add some homemade curry to add an extra explosion of flavor on to of the perfect fried rice, decadent egg and soft veggies. The omurice we will be making will have a good amount of fiber, vitamin A, proteins, potassium, iron and calcium.
