Reflection:
In this power point project, I used the 4 D’s, Define, Discover, Dream, and Debrief.
The DEFINING subject of the PowerPoint was on how biotechnologies along with other scientific technology can enhance humans and possibly let us gain immortality.
In order to DISCOVER, we watched (names) Ted talk (title), This gave us the necessary information in these biotechnologies. We DISCOVERED how these human enhancement can be helpful, especially to disabled people.
These life altering Biotechnology may seem like a DREAM. There are so many possibilities on how it can help people. A few ways I have noticed it can help is by; helping disabled people, improving the strength or aesthetic look of one’s limbs or other body parts, etc.
DEBRIEF: The work in note taking and writing in the Presentation was mostly equal. We both chose slides to work on in our class and home time. The thing I would change for next time would have more time and to research further into the topic for stronger information.
Great question you have in your exploration: what will humans look like in 100 years with human bionics. What a thinker! It is a great question to get your listeners thinking about bionics, prosthetics, CRISPR technology and altering DNA. Do you think pursuing this kind of technology is worth it?
