The short film that is going to be broken down in this paragraph is called K.I.T. It is about a medical robot named K.I.T. who receives flash backs and memories of earth when humanity was still around. The plot is when K.I.T. realizes it is walking through a familiar neighborhood and starts to recall its creator. The author’s idea was, what if technology got to the point of the destruction of mankind?  The short film is categorized as speculative fiction because of how it is a prediction of the future and covers the concern of technology taking over. People are taken through the emotional journeys of what K.I.T. witnessed.  In the film, it displays one of the characteristics of dystopia because it got down to the point of survival for humans, and lead to the extinction of them. Describing this film as dystopia is correct because authors or producers use dystopian fiction, “[to] warn humanity about the dangers of current and political structures” (What is Dystopian 2021). And what was said above, the film covers the worries about technology becoming to advanced for us to handle. In summary, the short film K.I.T. has a lot of meaning and emotion without the representation of words in the visual presentation.
