First impressions: I based my first impressions off of what I’ve heard from other people because this book was pretty popular on social media, such as TikTok and Instagram and I heard that it was a fun and engaging read for fans of the contemporary romance genre. I heard that many praise the chemistry between the two main characters, the witty dialogue, and the exploration of academic culture, and Personally, I found that the novel was light and enjoyable, and a romantic comedy with a satisfying emotional arc.

What I loved: I loved the chemistry between olive and Adam. I found that there was an electric chemistry between the two main characters which makes for a fun and enjoyable read.

I also really really enjoyed the emotional journey, the book was overly cute and romantic. While the book is primarily a romantic comedy, it also explores, deeper themes of self discovery, vulnerability, And personal growth, which I found moving and relatable.

Impact on teens: Since this book has a lot of backgrounds on relationships during work/schooling and a huge background in STEM teens can learn lots about relationships and chemistry in the work force. it could help show teens lots about relationships and senses of identity while dealing with their own things on their personal time while dealing with school and work and such.

It didn’t seem as though the supporting cast members existed just to support the main characters because they all had their own lives. When they weren’t on the page, it seemed as though they were out there living their lives. It increased the immersion and excitement of the story which I really loved. It gave the characters more depth and really made this book an exciting read!

Overall, this is a quick-paced, thrilling, and interesting read. This book will be finished in a couple of sittings by any romance enthusiast. This novel has more substance than other romance books I’ve read because it addresses issues like sexual exploitation in school and the need for more diversity in STEM fields in addition to the romantic plot. I would definitely recommend this book to teens!
